Ayke van Laethem 60f8a62978 all: add support for multicore scheduler
This commit adds support for a scheduler that runs a scheduler on all
available cores. It is meant to be used on baremetal systems with a
fixed number of cores, such as the RP2040.

The initial implementation adds support for multicore scheduling to the
riscv-qemu target as a convenient testing target. This means that this
new multicore scheduler is tested in CI, including a bunch of standard
library tests (`make tinygo-test-baremetal`). This should ensure the new
scheduler is reasonably well tested before trying to use it on
harder-to-debug targets like the RP2040.

Ayke van Laethem 07c7eff3c3 runtime: add FIPS helper functions
Not entirely sure what they're for, but the Go runtime also stores this
information per goroutine so let's go with that.

Ayke van Laethem 6d4dfcf72f compiler, runtime: move constants into shared package
Use a single package for certain constants that must be the same between
the compiler and the runtime.

While just using the same values in both places works, this is much more
obvious and harder to mess up. It also avoids the need for comments
pointing to the other location the constant is defined. And having it in
code makes it possible for IDEs to analyze the source.

In the future, more such constants and maybe algorithms can be added.

Ayke van Laethem 45cc5b58cd runtime: disallow defer in interrupts
This often doesn't work because there might not be a current task to
push the defer frame to. It will instead show an unhelpful nil pointer
dereference panic.

We could make this work with a separate defer stack for interrupts (as
if they were newly started goroutines) but that is difficult with
multiple interrupts happening at the same time (we shouldn't jump to a
previous interrupt in `panic()`!). So instead, disable defer altogether
in interrupts and adjust panic/recover accordingly.

Ayke van Laethem ad4d722f54 all: move -panic=trap support to the compiler/runtime
Support for `-panic=trap` was previously a pass in the optimization
pipeline. This change moves it to the compiler and runtime, which in my
opinion is a much better place.

As a side effect, it also fixes
https://github.com/tinygo-org/tinygo/issues/4161 by trapping inside
runtime.runtimePanicAt and not just runtime.runtimePanic.

This change also adds a test for the list of imported functions. This is
a more generic test where it's easy to add more tests for WebAssembly
file properties, such as exported functions.

Ayke van Laethem 3392827c3e runtime: print the address where a panic happened
This is not very useful in itself, but makes it possible to detect this
address in the output. See the next commit.

This adds around 50 bytes to each binary (except for AVR and wasm). This
is unfortunate, but I think this feature is quite useful still.
A future enhancement might be to create a build tag for extended panic
information that's not set by default.

Ayke van Laethem c7a23183e8 all: format code according to Go 1.19 rules
Go 1.19 started reformatting code in a way that makes it more obvious
how it will be rendered on pkg.go.dev. It gets it almost right, but not
entirely. Therefore, I had to modify some of the comments so that they
are formatted correctly.

Ayke van Laethem 9af535bf98 avr: add support for recover()
You can see that it works with the following command:

    tinygo run -target=simavr ./testdata/recover.go

This also gets the following tests to pass again:

    go test -run=Build -target=simavr -v

Adding support for AVR was a bit more compliated because it's also
necessary to save and restore the Y register.

Ayke van Laethem 49e22fe678 runtime: load sp and pc inside tinygo_longjmp
This is a small change to make it easier to support architectures that
need to restore more than just the sp and pc registers. In particular,
it is needed for the AVR architecture that needs to restore the frame
pointer (Y register).

Ayke van Laethem 86f1e6aec4 compiler: properly implement div and rem operations
The division and remainder operations were lowered directly to LLVM IR.
This is wrong however because the Go specification defines exactly what
happens on a divide by zero or signed integer overflow and LLVM IR
itself treats those cases as undefined behavior. Therefore, this commit
implements divide by zero and signed integer overflow according to the
Go specification.

This does have an impact on the generated code, but it is surprisingly
small. I've used the drivers repo to test the code before and after, and
to my surprise most driver smoke tests are not changed at all. Those
that are, have only a small increase in code size. At the same time,
this change makes TinyGo more compliant to the Go specification.

Ayke van Laethem cbaa58a2d9 all: change //go:export to //export
This is the kind that is used in Go (actually CGo) for exporting
functions. I think it's best to use //export instead of our custom
//go:export pragma, for consistency (they are equivalent in TinyGo).
Therefore I've updated all instances to the standard format (except for
two that are updated in https://github.com/tinygo-org/tinygo/pull/1024).

No smoke tests changed (when comparing the output hash), except for some
wasm tests that include DWARF debug info and tend to be flaky anyway.

Jaden Weiss 5cc130bb6e compiler: implement spec-compliant shifts
Previously, the compiler used LLVM's shift instructions directly, which have UB whenever the shifts are large or negative.
This commit adds runtime checks for negative shifts, and handles oversized shifts.

Ayke van Laethem f8876ea245 compiler, transform: remove runtime.isnil hack
This hack was originally introduced in
https://github.com/tinygo-org/tinygo/pull/251 to fix an escape analysis
regression after https://github.com/tinygo-org/tinygo/pull/222
introduced nil checks. Since a new optimization in LLVM (see
https://reviews.llvm.org/D60047) this hack is not necessary anymore and
can be removed.

I've compared all regular tests and smoke tests before and after to
check the size. In most cases this change was an improvement although
there are a few regressions.

Ayke van Laethem 79dae62c78 compiler,runtime: check for channel size limits
This patch is a combination of two related changes:

 1. The compiler now allows other types than `int` when specifying the
    size of a channel in a make(chan ..., size) call.
 2. The compiler now checks for maximum allowed channel sizes. Such
    checks are trivially optimized out in the vast majority of cases as
    channel sizes are usually constant.

I discovered this issue when trying out channels on AVR.

Ayke van Laethem d653088cbe compiler: fix escapes due to nil checks
Some tests get bigger, most get smaller. However, all tested driver
examples get smaller in size showing that this is a good change in the
real world.

This improves code size in all tests by about 1% and up to 5% in some
cases, likely because LLVM can better reason about inline bounds checks.

Ayke van Laethem 622d0ebde6 compiler: implement nil checks
This commit implements nil checks for all platforms. These nil checks
can be optimized on systems with a MMU, but since a major target is
systems without MMU, keep it this way for now.

It implements three checks:
  * Nil checks before dereferencing a pointer.
  * Nil checks before calculating an address (*ssa.FieldAddr and
    *ssa.IndexAddr)
  * Nil checks before calling a function pointer.

The first check has by far the biggest impact, with around 5% increase
in code size. The other checks only trigger in only some test cases and
have a minimal impact on code size.
This first nil check is also the one that is easiest to avoid on systems
with MMU, if necessary.

Ayke van Laethem 26e7e93478 compiler: make sure make([]T, ...) checks for Ts bigger than 1
Without this, the following code would not panic:

    func getInt(i int) { return i }
    make([][1<<18], getInt(1<<18))

Or this code would be allowed to compile for 32-bit systems:

    make([][1<<18], 1<<18)

Ayke van Laethem 8e99c3313b compiler: fix make([]T, ...) with big integers on 32-bit systems or less
Previously, this would have resulted in a LLVM verification error
because runtime.sliceBoundsCheckMake would not accept 64-bit integers on
these platforms.

Ayke van Laethem a459570d94 wasm: execute an 'unreachable' trap inst on panic

Ayke van Laethem 0314a487ff compiler: check slice cap instead of len during slicing
When doing a slice operation on a slice, use the capacity value instead
of the length. Of course, for strings and arrays, the slice operation
checks the length because there is no capacity. But according to the
spec, this check should be based on cap for slice instead of len:

> For slices, the upper index bound is the slice capacity cap(a) rather
> than the length.

Ayke van Laethem 0a06c6014d compiler: special slice bounds check for 64-bit numbers
It is allowed to index with an int64 even on a 32-bit platform, so we
have to handle that case. But make sure the normal case isn't penalized
by using 32-bit numbers when possible.

Ayke van Laethem 31e0662856 runtime: use a specialized runtime panic function
This specifically fixes unix alloc(): previously when allocation fails
it would (recursively) call alloc() again to create an interface due to
lacking escape analysis.
Also, all other cases shouldn't try to allocate just because something
bad happens at runtime.

TODO: implement escape analysis.
