deadprogram a2a638c198 all: fix LLVM version compatibility for targets and interp
cc1as: change AssemblerInvocation.Triple from std::string to
llvm::Triple, matching upstream LLVM 22 and fixing deprecation warnings
for lookupTarget, createMCRegInfo, createMCAsmInfo, and
createMCSubtargetInfo.

interp: always use ConstNamedStruct in rawValue.toLLVMValue instead of
falling back to ConstStruct for unnamed structs. LLVM 22 uses anonymous
identified struct types where previous versions used literal structs;
ConstStruct creates a literal type that doesn't match, causing an
"initializer type mismatch" panic for globals like fmt.ppFree.

compileopts: add build-tag-guarded feature patching for pre-LLVM 20
(strip +bulk-memory-opt and +call-indirect-overlong from wasm features)
and restructure into three files covering all LLVM version ranges.

targets: strip redundant negative features from RISC-V target JSONs
(esp32c3, esp32c6, fe310, k210, riscv-qemu, tkey). These ~190 negative
features per target listed every extension LLVM knows about that the
target doesn't use, but LLVM disables them by default. They became stale
across LLVM versions, causing "not a recognized feature" warnings. Keep
only positive features and -relax.

deadprogram 0ffa3eb748 all: add LLVM 22 support
Builder:
- Update clang.cpp for LLVM 22 API changes: DiagnosticOptions is no
  longer ref-counted, TextDiagnosticPrinter and DiagnosticsEngine take
  references instead of pointers, createDiagnostics() signature changed.
- Update cc1as.cpp: clang/Driver/Options.h moved to
  clang/Options/Options.h, namespace changed from clang::driver::options
  to clang::options, MCInstPrinter now passed as unique_ptr.
- Add new LLVM 22 libraries to GNUmakefile: clangAnalysisLifetimeSafety,
  clangOptions, LLVMDTLTO, and dtlto component.
- Add llvm22 build tag to all build/test commands.

CGo:
- Handle CXType_Unexposed in libclang.go by resolving via canonical
  type. LLVM 22 reports builtin type aliases (e.g. __size_t) as
  Unexposed instead of Typedef.
- Always make C typedefs into Go type aliases. LLVM 22 changed
  getTypedefDeclUnderlyingType to return CXType_Enum directly instead
  of wrapping in an elaborated type.

Compileopts:
- Add build-tag-guarded ClangTriple() to substitute wasm32-unknown-wasi
  with wasm32-unknown-wasip1 for LLVM 22 (deprecated triple).
- Add build-tag-guarded patchFeatures() to map renamed Xtensa features
  (atomctl, memctl, timerint, esp32s3) for LLVM 22.

Targets:
- Remove -zca from RISC-V target feature strings (esp32c3, esp32c6,
  fe310, k210, riscv-qemu, tkey). LLVM 22 now implies +zca from +c.
- Remove -zcd from k210. LLVM 22 now implies +zcd from +c,+d.

Tests:
- Change TestClangAttributes to check individual feature flags instead
  of exact string match, allowing new LLVM features without failures.
- Update TestBinarySize expected values for LLVM 22 codegen.

Ayke van Laethem dfbb133ea6 all: add full LLVM 20 support
This switches the Espressif fork from LLVM 19 to LLVM 20, so we can use
the improvements made between those LLVM versions. It also better aligns
with the system-LLVM build method, which currently also defaults to LLVM
20.

Note that this disables the machine outliner for RISC-V. It appears
there's a bug in there somewhere, with the machine outliner enabled the
crypto/elliptic package tests fail with -target=riscv-qemu.
This should ideally be investigated and reported upstream.

Ayke van Laethem 60f8a62978 all: add support for multicore scheduler
This commit adds support for a scheduler that runs a scheduler on all
available cores. It is meant to be used on baremetal systems with a
fixed number of cores, such as the RP2040.

The initial implementation adds support for multicore scheduling to the
riscv-qemu target as a convenient testing target. This means that this
new multicore scheduler is tested in CI, including a bunch of standard
library tests (`make tinygo-test-baremetal`). This should ensure the new
scheduler is reasonably well tested before trying to use it on
harder-to-debug targets like the RP2040.

Ayke van Laethem dcf609defb riscv-qemu: actually sleep in time.Sleep()
Instead of just incrementing the timestamp, this causes the system to
actually sleep when calling time.Sleep. The direct effect is that this
works as expected:

    $ tinygo run -target=riscv-qemu examples/serial
    hello world!
    hello world!
    hello world!
    [..etc]

This commit also adds a bare bones handler for exceptions (such as
invalid memory writes), since we're adding an interrupt handler anyway.

While this patch doesn't add that much functionality, having interrupt
support is going to be needed for multicore support on riscv-qemu. My
plan is to first add this support to riscv-qemu (based on the earlier
work I did for the RP2040 and demoed at FOSDEM 2025) and once the basics
are in place and fully tested we can extend this support to the RP2040.
Writing for QEMU first makes it much easier to debug any issues that
will come up.

Ayke van Laethem ff2a79de7c riscv-qemu: increase stack size
Bumping the stack size to 8kb (previous was 4kb) gets most remaining
tests to pass on baremetal.

Ayke van Laethem cab3834bc9 riscv-qemu: add VirtIO RNG device
This implements machine.GetRNG() using VirtIO. This gets the tests to
pass for crypto/md5 and crypto/sha1 that use crypto/rand in their tests.

Ayke van Laethem 1d7543e2bf all: switch to LLVM 16
This commit adds support for LLVM 16 and switches to it by default. That
means three LLVM versions are supported at the same time: LLVM 14, 15,
and 16.

This commit includes work by QuLogic:

  * Part of this work was based on a PR by QuLogic:
    https://github.com/tinygo-org/tinygo/pull/3649
    But I also had parts of this already implemented in an old branch I
    already made for LLVM 16.
  * QuLogic also provided a CGo fix here, which is also incorporated in
    this commit:
    https://github.com/tinygo-org/tinygo/pull/3869

The difference with the original PR by QuLogic is that this commit is
more complete:
  * It switches to LLVM 16 by default.
  * It updates some things to also make it work with a self-built LLVM.
  * It fixes the CGo bug in a slightly different way, and also fixes
    another one not included in the original PR.
  * It does not keep compiler tests passing on older LLVM versions. I
    have found this to be quite burdensome and therefore don't generally
    do this - the smoke tests should hopefully catch most regressions.

Ayke van Laethem bd56636d58 all: make emulator command a string instead of a []string
This matches the flash-command and is generally a bit easier to work
with.
This commit also prepares for allowing multiple formats to be used in
the emulator command, which is necessary for the esp32.

Ayke van Laethem 6b31ee1e93 all: update to LLVM 14
Switch over to LLVM 14 for static builds. Keep using LLVM 13 for regular
builds for now.

This uses a branch of the upstream Espressif branch to fix an issue,
see: https://github.com/espressif/llvm-project/pull/59

Ayke van Laethem 335fb71d2f reflect: add support for DeepEqual
The implementation has been mostly copied from the Go reference
implementation with some small changes to fit TinyGo.

In addition, this commit also contains the following:

  - A set of tests copied from the Go reflect package.
  - An increased stack size for the riscv-qemu and hifive1-qemu targets
    (because they otherwise fail to run the tests). Because these
    targets are only used for testing, this seems fine to me.

Ayke van Laethem 78fec3719f all: add target-features string to all targets
This makes sure that the LLVM target features match the one generated by
Clang:

  - This fixes a bug introduced when setting the target CPU for all
    targets: Cortex-M4 would now start using floating point operations
    while they were disabled in C.
  - This will make it possible in the future to inline C functions in Go
    and vice versa. This will need some more work though.

There is a code size impact. Cortex-M4 targets are increased slightly in
binary size while Cortex-M0 targets tend to be reduced a little bit.
Other than that, there is little impact.

Ayke van Laethem 980068543a riscv: implement VirtIO target
This allows running RISC-V tests in CI using QEMU, which should help
catch bugs.
